I'm a doctoral candidate in the Philosophy Department at Princeton University, where I'm advised by Dan Garber. Before coming to Princeton, I earned an MA at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where I worked with Michael LeBuffe. Before that, I was an undergraduate at the University of Coimbra in my native Portugal.My main interests are in action theory and ethics in early modern philosophy. In which I argue that Spinoza adopts a radical conception of human action according to which there is no genuine action for the sake of ends.
